Like all Philistine boys, Goliath was bred for war.
Having been blessed by Dagon with incredible size and strength, Goliath had no equal. As a fresh solider, he quickly proved he was more than a large battering ram by mastering three weapons; the sword, spear and javelin. His skill earned him a place among the Sword of Dagon, the elite force of the Philistine army.
After years of moving his way up the ranks, Goliath became the champion of his people. Whole battles were won in a single fight between him and other nations’ weak excuses for champions.
Prior to the Philistines’ invasion of Israel, Goliath commissioned a new sword to be forged for him. This blade, forged out of the best iron in the land, would be his message to the filthy Hebrew tribesmen. On its hilt is a detailed gold idol of Dagon, symbolizing his desire to consume all those in his path, as if he were Dagon himself.
Currently, Goliath awaits at the valley of Elah, and has called for a champion of Israel to present himself. For forty days, Goliath has impatiently waited, and he has continued to rouse his Philistine brothers with the promise of a swift victory and the long awaited destruction of Israel.
Little does he know of what is about to happen next…
