The Philistine Army
1184 B.C.
Greek soldiers sailed home from war. After traveling through a barbaric storm, they claimed to have been guided to shore by a giant fishman. To honor this good fortune, they erected a statue in the fishman’s name. They called it: Dagon.
One hundred years later, the nation of the Philistines (the Grecian descendants) has rivaled the Great Egyptian Empire, dominated the Mediterranean east coast, and developed advanced iron metals. Their ambitious, ravenous hunger for an empire has moved toward the Canaan hill-country, held by one nation of tribesmen: the Israelites. After years of war campaigns, the Philistines have battered Israel’s border, leaving the Israelites broken, unorganized, and unprepared for a proper invasion.
Now, the Philistines march through the Elah Valley with the largest force they have ever gathered. Dagon has given his signs, and virgin sacrifices have been made. Israel will fall, and the Philistines Empire will be born.
Who can stop them now? . . .
